Core de Force Review – The Definitive Guide

Beachbody's Explosive Mixed Martial Arts Program

Core de Force launches today, October 31, 2016 and is anticipated to be a BLOCKBUSTER program in the Beachbody lineup from Super Trainers Joel Freeman and Jericho McMatthews. CORE DE FORCE is an explosive mixed martial arts–inspired total body workout designed to blast fat and carve your waist in just 30 days – with no equipment! I’m writing this Core de Force Review to give you the skinny on this rapid weight loss and conditioning program to get you lean, sculpted, stronger and ‘Fit for Life’.

Core de Force Review

This new fitness and nutrition program features MMA moves and techniques from Muay Thai, kickboxing and boxing that work your core from every angle. If you want to slim down, you are going to have to fight for it!.

Core de Force Review: Core de Force YouTube

To make things easier still, we’ve packed the program with an easy-to-follow nutrition guide AND portion controlled containers. Purchased as a challenge pack, you also get the added support of having me as your personal success coach to keep you accountable and on track, start to finish!

Your workouts commence with a quick warm-up, followed by workouts that are structured to last three minutes. Be prepared to bring your game-face for those three minutes! Rest assured, you get a good run-through to learn the moves before going full-force. With your core engaged the entire time, there’s no better way to get a carved and sexy mid-section.

Once your three minute bouts come to an end, prepare for the ‘Spike Move’. This will crank up your heart rate and rev your metabolism to burn calories all day long! If you’ve ever done TurboFire, Insanity, or any other HIIT-style training, this concept will be familiar to you.

  • Rachel

Wow! This sounds awesome! I love how the workouts are no longer than 45 minutes. This time span makes the goal of completing a workout on a daily basis obtainable. The workouts also seem like an exciting challenge!

    • Definitely, Rachel. 45 minutes is completely doable especially when you consider that 30 minutes is 2% of your day! You literally get in, get out and get back to the rest of your life. Also, with the workouts being so varied, the time literally flies by. Thanks for stopping by!

  • So I have a question. Are the diet and recipe guidelines vital for seeing results? The reason I ask is because most protein shakes and/or supplement for body building often use whey and I have to stay away from dairy. It’s really hard for me to find a protein supplement that will work for me. But if just doing the exercise program will make a huge difference too, without the diet, I would be interested in knowing that. Thanks!

    • Hi Sarah, thanks for your questions. I should probably write a blog post on this as the answer is quite detailed ;).

To answer your questions, the recipes are not vital for seeing results, but the recipes do take the guesswork out of things for those people who just don’t know what or how to cook or are stuck for ideas. The recipes in the guide are easy to put together and are super tasty.

That being said, you can definitely follow your own recipes. However, what you eat and more importantly, the balance of proteins, carbohydrates and fats, are key in terms of achieving one’s physique goals.

To this point, step one is determining your correct calorie target for your goals, the second is then eating the right mix of macronutrients (or in other words, proteins, carbs and fats).

If you’re interested in flying solo, this post will get you going in the right direction:

Bear in mind, there is rarely a one-size-fits-all solution and minor adjustments are to be expected. Being consistent and tracking your progress is key!

We’ve all heard the adage, ‘abs are made in the kitchen’. Even if having a 6-pack is not on your wish-list and you simply want to feel energized and tone up, what goes in your mouth is going to account for 80% of your results. If you think of your body as a vehicle, you need the right ‘mix’ and the right ‘octane’ going into the tank to maximize your performance.

Really, many people are simply putting the wrong things in their bodies and in the incorrect proportions (high fat and high carb, eating too little or too much, and so forth). Back to my car analogy, they are really just throwing sand in their ‘gas tank’ – not good for results!

Take a look at any gym and you’ll see the same people doing the same routines and making little-to-no appreciable improvement. I can speak on this, because I’ve been there! Nine times out of ten, this comes down to sub-par nutrition. As I see it, why not maximize your sweat equity and get the very best ROI? To do this, targeted and balanced nutrition is paramount.

      Regarding protein:

Protein is a one-trick-pony. It’s only one of the macronutrients and we’ve been seduced by supplement companies into believing it’s the end-all-be-all, magical muscle-building supplement.

Yes, protein is important, but so are carbohydrates and healthy fats! In fact, most people get more than enough protein in their diets through whole food sources and a protein powder such as whey is really just more convenient. To this point, I don’t recommend more than one shake per day and that’s only* if the rest of one’s diet is on-point. Our primary focus with our clients is an emphasis on whole, healthy foods. In short, a protein supplement is not necessary for results.

For what it’s worth, I don’t use whey protein. I do supplement (and this is a key word as supplements should ‘supplement’ an already solid nutrition plan, not try to replace or make up for a poor one) with a vegan protein blend. I don’t take this daily, but I do incorporate it if my protein needs are low – I know this because I keep track of my nutrition to insure I’m getting the right balance each day.

Lastly, (shameless plug alert!) Shakeology is our flagship product. Unlike a simple protein powder, Shakeology is comprised of a perfect balance of proteins (either whey or vegan), carbohydrates and fats. This makes it a completely balanced superfood as it also contains a nutrient-dense mix of amino acids, antioxidants, phytonutrients, adaptogenic herbs, prebiotics and probiotics, and digestive enzymes.

For my wife and I, as well as a countless number of our clients, this has replaced cupboards full of vitamins, minerals and other supplements, has us feeling more energized, curbs cravings, stabilizes blood-sugar, lowers cholesterol and is our little bit of added health insurance!

  • Wow! I really want to try this now. I thought it was going to be released at the end of November. Boy am I on the wrong train, lol. I like how they include the containers. Those things are wonderful. Even my hubby is satisfied with eating on the 21 DF plan.

    • Hi Marlinda – thanks for stopping by. Yes, the Core de Force Challenge Packs were released to the public on October 31st and base kits and upgrades on November 1st. Glad to hear the containers have simplified things for your husband – they really do streamline clean eating and getting the correct amount of food for your goals whether it be lean gains, maintenance or losing body fat. Best in health!

  • What a great review :) I am wrapping up with Country Heat / Master’s Hammer and Chisel combo set and I am seriously considering giving Core de Force a shot. Thank you for the detailed overview!

    • You won’t be disappointed, Amanda. Also, if you’ve been doing a hybrid for a while (2-3 months), it’s a great idea to shake things up. More ‘shock and awe’ for the body will further speed up results! Thanks for stopping by.

This sounds fun! One of my favorite workouts is the Kenpo from P90X, it is active and fun and before you know it the hour is gone. This sounds very similar, and with the diet and coaching I’m sure it is bound to be successful. My only question is how do you fit in a workout with a toddler at home? :-)

  • What an interesting idea. My kids are interested in MMA but I never thought about using it like this. And I love the idea of the portion cups. That make so much more sense than counting calories, or weighing every oz of food. Thanks for sharing!
